Morley Butchers are part of the Crouch End Digital Food Fest which is happening in October 2013.

October marks the start of a month long digital food festival in Crouch End. This is the first ever online event of its type in London. This month long foodie fest celebrates everything Crouch End has to offer food lovers.  All the events will be promoted on the new Crouch End App, on the Crouch End Project website and their social media platforms.

Who’s involved in the Crouch End Digital Food Fest?

Crouch End has a lot to offer; from  its award winning coffee bars, via fishmongers, bakers and a fabulous ice cream parlour that making it’s own ices (from secret recipes on the premises), to the hippest Spanish tapas bar in town and of course Morley Butchers – finding the best suppliers to ensure our customers have a selection of the finest quality Beef, LambPork, Poultry and Game.

Whats on offer?

Part of the festival fun is to help Crouch Enders discover new and different foods particularly those that are truly local, made here in N8.

We will be showcasing two products that we make here in our shop. Firstly our range of Dry Cured Gammon.  Starting with the best quality Pork, using a traditional manual process and allowing plenty of time (28 days) allows us to create a truly exceptional range of Gammon for our customers.

Local Smoked Gammon

Local Smoked Gammon

We also do our own Gammon smoking on the premises. Using our own premium Gammon and the latest in natural draft smoking technology (It allows precise control of the end result). The joints are cold smoked for four to six hours. This allows the maple wood smoke to impart that extra richness and depth of flavour. Delicious!

The second product we will be promoting is our own authentic and delicious Biltong made from a traditional South African recipe using only the best Scottish Beef. We offer two types of Biltong; Original or “Chillibite” Biltong for those who like a little more kick!.  The Biltong is made in a five day process of marinade, seasoning and air drying before it is ready for sale. As with the Gammon it is all done on our premises.
